Default C5 A4 Owners - Cam question

Who's running a 112LSA cam in their auto C5? What are the rest of your specs on it? How is the idle? Did your tuner have any issues setting the idle?

I'm running the G5X3 112 lsa (said to be around 236/242) and it's pretty choppy but I wouldn't have it any other way. It's really all in the tune on how a cam drives. I would have went with the G5X4 had i known it would drive so well with such a big cam.

I have 3:73's/SS3600 stall so I'm sure that helps a lot with the drivability.

Thats the LSA on my cam. I've been trying to get installed for the last couple of weeks, but just have'nt had the time. I have an A4 with a Yank 3200 stall. I hope to get it in next week, I will let you know how it goes.

Default A4 112 Lsa

I have a 222/224 112 lsa in my car on a STOCK converter and through STOCK manifoldes . EG (Stephen) tuned it. The car runs great. It has a chppy idle out of gear. When you stick it in gear it idles at 900-1200 rpm depends on what mood the car is in ( it has its own mind). Now there is NO chop when the car is in gear you cant even tell I have a cam in it. But when you are in netural you can tell. (800 rpm idle) Also im a guy that goes AGAINST the grain if you say I cant do it im the guy that say i WILL do it. Somthing that stephen said to me when he was tuning my car and stands VERY true. "drivable/streetable is all in the eye of the beholder", there are things my car does that I promise you others would not put up with but im ok with it. So its up to you whats steet able and whats not. If i had it to do all over again i would have went with one of his big cams through manifolds and stock converter. but hey thats me.

Im running a 224 on a 112 lsa xer lobes. Stock stall is fine nice sound to it and you get all of the cams power band.

I would def not get a cam without headers though
