Was wondering if anyone else has had wind noise problems in the area circled in the picture. Noise is not from removable roof panel. My coupe made this noise since new. Tried everything. Shimming rubber, heater on high with soapy water, even masking taped door seam, glass seam, gas door, door handle, and folded mirror in. Still there.
Uncle's 02 coupe has same noise. Service manager's 02 coupe at dealer where I bought mine does it too.
There is a service bulletin on this noise but it only applies to fixed roof. Tried it anyway to no avail.
Hope this isn't an inherent aerodynamic noise.
Any input on this would be appreciated. Thanks.
Re: Help, need some ideas on wind noise. (426 Hemi)
I know this sounds hokie, but mine improved when I put some silicone grease on the weather stripping. Make sure the rubber is installed correctly; many are not completely sealing.....
Re: Help, need some ideas on wind noise. (carpe dm)
I had the dealership replace my weatherstripping and when that did not work I asked them to adjust the window so that it sat tighter up against the weatherstipping. Now I only get wind noise at 140 mph which is a problem that I have to except, because it is hard to get a dealer tech to test ride with me and then reproduce the problem.

I have a 99 vert and I have the same wind noise. I will check my rubber seals, and probably get the dealer to replace them and get the windows adjusted. This is the only problem I have with my car.
