As far as i am aware that one you posted on is a waste of $. One that does work is Phantom Technologies RCD (Radar Cloaking Device) its around $550 and it scrambles the radars readout so the officer cant 'lock' onto you, until your very close then the guns power overtakes the scrambler and your speed comes up on the officers unit, so you must react and slow down and shut the unit off untill you pass him, you want him to get a 'legal' speed reading on you as you pass.
Also it dosnt set off Valentine 1 dectector so you can have that on also. You are safe up to 6/10 of a mile(300 ft from radar gun) any closer he can 'lock' your speed. so doing 60mph you would have 30 sec's to slow up, obviousley going faster reduces your time to slow. this is an 'active type of jammer, and is considered ILLEGAL in most areas'obstruction of justice' is the usuall charge. So if you use one do it discretly as possible.

You should also know that not only is active radar jamming illegal, it is a FELONY. Wouldn't a FELONY look good on your record?
There's been some interesting history between Rocky Mountain Radar (who I think also make the Phantom) and the FCC concerning the legality of jammers.
Generally, though, it seems as if the courts view intentional disruption of the police's use of RADAR as malicious (see post above). With the Phantom, I think Rocky Mountain's argument goes that the FCC's rules apply to RF and not IR, but it's all EM at the end of the day.
Of course, in the UK you can get nicked for stealing RF out of the air, but that's yet another story.
Well i dont have to worry about a Felony on my record cause i dont use this device anyway, was just explaning how it works and the drawbacks involved, each individual has to deciede which is worse a speeding tick, or a more severe charge for using this device. :)
Just so that no one wastes their money on a so-called "radar jammer", here is an excerpt from a great article on the subject (http://www.radartest.com/JOS.html):
Except for the Phantom, which contains rudimentary radar-detection circuitry, each is essentially an empty box with a 12-volt power cord, a cheap cast-plastic waveguide assembly, one or two front-mounted LEDs, a basic power-supply circuit and a button or two. Press the button and an LED lights up, accompanied by a tinny bird whistle. ("Our patented 'FM Chirp', " company salesmen proudly proclaim.) We've tested these products a dozen times against every front-line police radar gun and laser, finding all of them utterly worthless.
The guy that designed the product (and I guess still builds it) said to a friend of mine at work years ago that a large percentage of people who purchase mail order will never return a product because it does not work. He counts on that percentage to make his money. I used to work at the company he used to work at, so I believe the friend.
