How is the C5 supposed to compete?
There is still something to be said for "limited production". My '96 T/A WS-6 was one of only 2500 WS-6 cars produced that year.

I ran neck and neck with a kid in a supposed S351, (had the body kit, stickers, supercharger with my 99 FRC with a vortex rammer. I thought (and still think) that it wasn't a real S351 since we ran to 130 and he should have pulled on me eventually with his HP advantage. He and his buddies swear that it is a real S351.
Point of the story is, obviously it is easy to get a hold of the Saleen stickers and body kit. You call that exclusive? Trade in your vette and get an S351, let us know how your "exclusivity" increases. :seeya

I pulled next to a car of giggly teen-age girls. They said, "Hi!" I said, "Show me your t!ts," And you know what? They did.

How much extra did you get for that limited edition WS6 Trans Am when you sold it? The price of the package maybe?

With street tires, it won't run with 405HP Z06 :smash:
plus as mentioned it is still a Mustang underneath despite being listed as manufactured by Saleen.

I agree with vettvert here. Some of us Vette owners need to get off of our high horse and recognize that we are not the only ones with "enthusiast" cars who are better than everyone else. When I owned my WS6 T/A, I felt as though I was the king of the world, with a rare and superior car, that nobody could touch either. At the time even the new C5 vettes didn't scare me, when I wanted to run with one I just out manuevered them on the road, frustrated them so that I would win and stay in front anyway. At that time no one could ever make me believe that they had a better or faster car than I did. Whether a Vette is more desireable than a WS6 T/A or a Saleen Mustang is not the issue here, but rather to each person his or her own car is usually a matter of personal choice. :smash:

Exclusive = low sales = low profits = no more made

You can take the Mustang out of the trailer park - BUT - you can’t take the Trailer Park out of the Mustang! HEHE :smash:
