Also this is my daily driver, ive been told with gears my MPG wont go down to bad if i can drive it right. I dont really know what gears would be the best ive been told 3.90's, what are ya'lls opinions?
Lower gears are the best SOP improvement you can do to a car. On my '91 I went from 2:73's to 3:54's and it felt like I added 50 hp.
The fuel mileage drop was negligible
For your FRC, 410's would be perfrect for a NA car!! It might get a bit "squirrely" (sp? ) on the squeeze!! Several of my friends have 410 H/C cars with the MN6, and they absolutely fly!!

chad is right on this one. with your frc this would be the route to go. and your mpg may drop 2-3mpg at most. most go 3.90s to tell you the truth though, but what fun would that be.
oh and the reason for 4.10s over 3.90s in your car is because the tranny is geared different in the frc than in the z06. you would have the same effect as putting 390s in a z06 when you do 410s
i'll be installing 4.10s in another month or so in my DD 6speed. i am very excited!
He is getting my 4.10's. When I had 392/376 at the wheels, the 4.10's were great but when I went to 443/392 at the wheels, the gears were too much. IMO the NOS would be too much with the 4.10's. If you were NA, the 4.10's would be perfect!

Well, I dunno about "Too Much" just means your tires weren't good enough... lol
I've got 400whp and 4.10s in my M6 C5 and after installing the Nitto 555RII DOT radials I barely spin the tires in first, and only chirp a little banging 2nd. I feel like I could add another 50hp to this and still have adequate traction with those tires...
BTW - I didn't notice any MPG difference going with the 4.10s... Mainly because I would skip 2nd and 4th all the time...
I say get em. 3.90s or 4.10s, you'll be happy... they're a serious SOTP improvement!

You are correct about my tires but I like the Michelin PS for all around performance. Also, just like Dan had mentioned that I do shift 1 to 3 or 2 to 4 when driving casually. One last thing, even with 4.10's I turn 2K RPM doing 78 MPH. Once I checked my mileage driving from MD to NY and back and got 31 MPG!!!!

if your not hooking with 4.10s with less than 400tq, your not using the gears right. You cant smack down the throttle, just lean into it and let the gears work for you.
im 439hp, 402tq, and i hook well with plain jane Kuhmos

MN6 gear ratios matches perfectly with the 4.10 ratio..thats why the car performs outstanding with 4.10s and still gets 28mpg on highway
it will put the motor in its powerband real quick!
