My 97 needed a couple of cans of refrigerant last summer and now it must need refrigerant again. How often do you need to add charge oil and what kind do you use.
With a question like that ... I'd recommend you take the car into a shop that has a professional at A/C system recharging.
If you have a leak simply adding refrigeramt is asking for trouble. The system needs to be flushed, the leak fixed, and the proper amounts of oil and R-134a added back in.
If you have the wrong amount of oil in the system the compressor will fail ... you're looking at a major expense when that happens.
Pay a professional (or spend the money to buy the tools) to flush and recharge the system correctly.
