Default LS6 + TB + VRB2 = need tune?

My tune was spot-on prior to doing an LS6 intake, ecs ported TB, and VRB2(13:1 across the board on the dyno). Now with these added mods its taking in a bunch more air but is a tune necessary? Will it go dangerously lean or will the computer be able to compensate for the extra air? THanks in advance CF

I would say, yes go get a tune, but I dont think it will hurt the engine. good luck on it.

Thanks for the quick response. My issue is that my tuner(who i had an appoiintment with tonight) was in a MC accident and I just found out about it. He's ok minus a concussion thank God but I have a 3000 mile trip planned out which I'm leaving for on Wednesday. Needless to say, im scrambling just a bit right now.

Hi there, sorry to hear about your tuner, hope that he will be Ok. As for your current mods and the distance you want to travel. The factory ECM does have a learning curve and can adjust for minor calibrations like the LS6 intake / TB and even a cold. You will run fine and not hurt anything. A tune later on will not yield much, but I would still have some calibrations done .Good journey
