Roaring in Transmission
Hey guys, after about 3,000 miles on my 2001 Z06, I began to notice a roaring sound coming from the rear end between 20 & 45 MPH then quiet down. I passed it off as tires. Well, 30,000 miles later and new tires, it is still there and is heard throughout most speeds. If it were a bearing problem, I think it would have failed by now. I do think it is coming from the rearend. I have a friend who was a passenger a few weeks back in a 99 or 2000 year vette that had the same sound. He to thought it was tires and, of course, found out it wasn't. Anyone else having the same problem, or have solved the problem??
