Ok, so I'm upgrading my F45 shocks to the C6 Z06 shocks.
I read a quick guide I found here: http://fuzzydiceracing.com/test.htm
admittedly not for the F45 shocks, but I'm assuming that other than the sensors, everything else should be the same.
Am I assuming correctly, or does something special need to be done with these?

Thats fine but you will need sims for the F45 plugs .

You can go to the dealership and have them do an F-45 delete with the Tech II or you can try this. I saw it on the forum and saved it, but I have not tried it. I figure, worst case, you'll be out $2.00 if it doesn't work. Maybe someone has tried it and can confirm.
There is a black wire going to the F45 shock sensor which contains 2 smaller ones. Go to Radio Shack and get a 10 ohm, 10 watt resistor. Connect the resistor between those 2 wires. Either solder or use crimp connectors for a good connection and tape shut to prevent water seepage. I used rubber tape and electrical tape. Worked for me and cost less than 2 dollars for three resistors.
I've already got the sim plugs from corvette garage, so I should be fine for that part
are zip ties really the way to compress the shocks?
You'll have to compress the shocks manually...the zip ties only hold them in that state. I suppose you could use various wire or thin rope to keep them compressed, but zip ties are cheap, easy to cut, and won't scratch anything.
