Low Oil Level...
I change my oil approx every 2500 miles. This time I am at about 2900 miles (been real busy lately) and I get this message on my DIC- Low Oil Level. I checked the dip stick and it only shows oil on half the stick- I can't see the correct level if you know what I mean. So I poured in 2 quarts and I have a spare quart in my trunk. Anyone have any ideas?

My low oil level warning came on once about 2 months after I had the car. I immediately pulled over and checked the oil. It was 2 quarts low. Scared the crap out of me. I check the oil very often now. It seems I burn a quart of oil about every 1,500-2,000+ miles. Depends on how hard I drive. The dealer says GM says, "unless it's burning a quart in 500 miles or less, It's OK." So much BS.
And yes, it's hard to read the dipstick in these cars.
