Another Lowering Question?
Lowered the C5 yesterday. Cut both stock upper/lower REAR bushings down one section, reinstalled bolts with 2 treads showing on either side. Turned FRONT bushing nuts all the way up to snug up bushings, no more adjustment. Here are the results: Front dropped to 27"1/4, rear dropped to 27". Rake too low in rear so I added the cut piece back into the lower section of the rear bolts. Now the car is 27"1/2" in rear. The front still looks too high. If I tighten rear bolts will the car drop a bit more? Or basically How do I adjust the rear up more?

Before you get too carried away, search the forum on ride height, measurements, alignment, etc. Use the jacking points to measure ride height, not fender lips, watch your suspension travel, etc. What can happen is a car can look cool, but is totally out of alignment, unsafe at high speeds and cannot corner worth a crap. Your goals can be met but you will need to change the shocks (you will be bottoming out at the present time), get an alignment, check the rake, cross weights, etc.
