I've read the various posts regarding the additive in Chevron gas helping with various fuel problems. Also, in places like Okla, where we don't have Chevron, just buying the additive in bottle form and adding. I don't have any problems yet, but wonder, since 2004 models really cannot replace fuel filter without dropping tank, will a regular diet of Techron help keep the filter clean and/or help clear a fuel filter that is perhaps clogging? Of course, I know it's a good idea to never let your fuel level get to low because of possible junk in tank, etc., but in reading another good post which had a link to a technical piece on the operation of the tank, the left tank always empties in full before switching to the right.

The right tank empties first, then the left tank. Your filter is inside the left tank.
Techron won't help your filter. Using good quality fuel from fuel stations that are well maintained is your best bet against filter problems. In general, fuel quality around the US is pretty good, which is why there is no recommended service interval for the fuel filter .... and one reason why Chevy put it inside the tank ..... you should be able to go 200,000 miles or more on a filter these days.
no, any potential advantage that Techron "might" have would be to act like a solvent and break up deposits in the engine. You're still going to get the same crap in Techron gas, it's the same as all other gas. Most gas companies add addatives, Chevron just came up with a fancy name for their's.
If you change your filter let me know how it goes. I'm about to replace mine.
