This subject has been beat to death. I think they ought to make a sticky on this one.
Anyway, the 2 shifters that seem to be in favor at the moment are the C6 Z06 and MGW. If you do a search on these terms you will find plenty of posts.
Also take a look at the anti-venom mod. Do a search you will find plenty of posts.

They SMOOTHEST would definately be the C6 Z06 shifter...In my opinion I would purchase the MGW shifter, considering I just did so myself. Use the search I think there are 20 different threads on the MGW shifter and C6 shifter each. If you want the smoothest go with the C6, if you want the best overall...in my opinion the MGW is top notch and the guys that work there are top notch as well

C6Z06 is sloppy compared to the MGW. No comparison whatsoever!

Compared to the MGW the C6Z shifter feels like a popsicle stick in a bowl of oatmeal

Didn't get the answer I was looking for....
Is the C6 the smoothest and the MGW the shortest? It's going in a 99 FRC. I'd like something that shorter and less effort, precise is what I'm looking for.
Is there a difference between a ZO6 shifter and a stock shifter?
Thanks
