HVAC Fan/Blower Issue

OK, here's where I'm at. Picked up an 01 this winter and have been getting it ready for a road trip to Santa Fe. The blower motor stopped working completely in both auto/manual modes for heat and AC both. I saw that quite a few people have issues with the dual climate dash controls. I had a buddy over who was helping me out with it, so to rule that problem out we swapped out his dual zone controller (same as mine) and that didn't solve the problem. In fact when we put his car back together, now his fan isn't working either. So now I'm really screwed, can't be taking mine to NM without AC and it's supposed to be near a hundred here for my buddy this weekend. Any suggestion?

PS-no codes showing, everything powers up, you can here things cycle when changing modes

WHEW!! We unhooked the ground on my friend's car and when we hooked it back up, the fan worked again!?! Still no fan on mine though.

Does the fan speed indicator on the controller read correctly?

Shows perfectly in auto and manual mode.

I believe I ruled out the controller, workes fine in my buddy's vette.

Did you check fuse #51 in the passenger footwell?
Also check the blower/blower control module connections.

Well, I went through the "checklist" of possibilities and finally tracked it down.

Turns out a mouse made a home out of the fan housing. Man that was a pain removing and re-installing the fan, hopefully I don't have to do that too many times.
