I bought my 3.73's from LG Motorsports for like $1,600 minus core charge. If you have a 3 series carrier you will get a few hundred back. It is a whole new differential unit that comes fully assembled. Installation is a snap. LG sells them in 3.15, 3.42, 3.73, 3.90, and 4.10.

Getrag only shipped new complete carriers with 2.73, 3.15, 3.42, and 3.73 ratios.
Anything above the 3.73 ratio is always a retrofit.
