Problem with HUD

I searched the forum but didn't find anything on this but I'm sure its been discussed

Just picked up a '01 with the HUD, however, the hud doesnt display on the windshield. The HUD does work though cause I can see it if I look from the outside of the car into the HUD housing. I've had two other FRC's and I know how to adjust it up and down, but that doesn't seem to do any good. I'm guessing something is broken that it sits in or on or a bracket is broke or something? Has anyone ever delt with this?

New, really new, guy here, but I think the HUD cars had a special windshield. Perhaps your new 01 has had its windshield replaced with an incorrect windshield. I think it has something to do with polarization for the display, but hey, new guy here.

Nope, not the windshield. It'll work with any windshield. It does sound like the mounting bracket may be broken or loose. You've tried the brightness, I assume?

Yep. Everything on the HUD works and I can dim and brighten it (when I lean right up to the steering wheel to see the display....but when I use the page buttons, it moves crooked. I'm not sure what kind of bracket holds it in place and I know how to get the instrument cluster out, but I've never worked on the HUD itself; for that matter, I've never even seen how its mounted in the dash.
