Ive had conflicting info from some of these sites in regards to where the cats are placed in the exhaust system. For example, after the headers are the cats placed next inline or is the placement, headers xpipe, then cats? Does it make a differnce? Any info would be greatly appreciated..thanx again
Cats are supposed to run hot, so I have always thought best placement would be at the collector, closer to the exhaust source, ie-combustion chamber.
I know the LG system places the cats after the x-pipe, and some other systems place the cats at the header collector.
I don't know if there is a major difference.
I put the cats on my system right off the turbo downpipes, basically where the header collector would reside on an N/A setup.
