Default AC Drain

OK guys, I have been able to reach my big and and arm into the area of the AC drain and have have milked it but can not get it out. It feels pliable, but I want to make sure it's empty.
My AC runs great, good cold air, but I never see any water on the ground like on other cars. Was concerned it was plugged, but have no wet spots anywhere on the pass footwell.
What's the trick on getting the darn thing out, cleaned and replaced? I've even had it up in the air and can't seem to see the lil devil from underneath. Can see it from the top, but can't get my mudhooks on it.
What's the trick??
I have no trouble getting to the udders etc.

Are you speaking of the A/C drain from the HVAC unit or the udder that drains water from the cowl/plenum area? Going inside the access panel behind the r/f wheel will NOT provide access to the A/C drain tube that comes out of the firewall.
I have accessed my HVAC A/C drain tube from under the car. To check it I used a large Ty-Wrap and stuck it up into the hole and moved it all around as best I could to check for any blockage.

HTH Ben.

Thanks. Saves me taking off the panel.
I've cleaned all the udders so they are not a problem it's the AC drain itself. The lil L shaped puppy.
I can grab it and squeeze, but can not remove it.
I run the air it appears that there is no water under the car from the unit. The air is cold, but it does not appear to drain unless I'm missing something.
On the other hand there is no moisture areound the passenger footwell wither. Dry as a bone.
From what I've read, you can get it from under the car. (Can't even locate it) or from the top of the car (under the hood). I can see it, touch it, but can't get a grip on it to pull it out and make sure it is clean, and the hole where it sits is clean. I guess I'm getting paranoid, but like I said. I have never seen water dripping even after a fifty mile haul with the air on. Driving me

Thanks again

Jim

I agree, you do have to look a bit for it from underneath, but you can definitely see it. If installed correctly (as per GM manual) it's angled over to the right a bit at about a 30 or 40 degree angle.

Anyway, not having agua on the carpets or other issues is a good thing.

Glad to help,
Robert
