I have a 2000 and the fob got tossed to me yesterday, which wasn't close, and hit the pavement. Hasn't worked since. It will beep twice when you hold it about 40 seconds but still don't work. Battery is about a month old. Any suggestions??? Change battery again??? Or what???

Make sure its not open and then re-train? Good luck, it sucks the 2000's are unique....

You can try resoldering the connections, but you'll probably need a fob. Check out Gene Culley at gmpartshouse.com. For the 2000 they're around $58.

Here is a page with pictures of fob internals - if you can solder you may find your issue inside - and if not, at least it did not cost you any more to try.....
