Why is it COOL? Maybe we should all go back to the push button on the floor like they used when electric starters first went into cars. The Vette's electrical system is complicated enough-all you need is another reason to confuse the wheel lock/security system.

haha solution buy a C6 with push button start and welcome to the crappy world of not having a key, my dad has the c6 z06 and the car locked him inside the car. Dont ask... haha. Anyway but because everything including the UNLOCKS and door handle is electronic if the car decides to lock you in your screwed.

Happened to my friend in his C6 too. Seems like the whole lock/security thing has been such a MESS on Corvettes (going back to the C3's), I can't imagine ANYONE wanting to complicate this mess any more that it has to be just to look "COOL"
