Default Breakin for a cam
What's the breakin mileage for a new cam. Or do you even need to break one in? :confused:

roller cams need no breakin like flat tappets because there is no rubbing action with the rollers.

The LS1 uses a roller cam so there is no need for any break-in.

Thanks guys the cam is going in on Thursday i just wanted to make sure before i started playing with it. I'm also getting it dynoed so I wanted to make sure it was safe to get on it that soon. I hope to have some videos of it so i will post them if so.

No break-in on the cam but I suggest a little heat cycling for the valve springs.
