Default AIR pump vacum line...boost source?

Already posted this in the FI section and recieved no answers.

I'm in the middle of installing my P1SC kit on my 2002 Z06. I don't have the vacum manifold that goes in the brake booster line so I've been looking for alternatives for a boost/vacum source for the boost gauge and BOV. I have long tubes headers with NO AIR fittings. I never removed the pump but have now. I noticed there was a small vacum line coming off the AIR pump in addition to the larger inlet and outlet tubes. The small line goes into some wiring loom and I am assuming its going to the intake manifold somewhere. Am I correct on this and has anyone out there used it for a gauge or blow off source? If not does anyone have any other suggestions? I don't like the manifold on the brake booster line and am looking for a very clean install. Thanks for any info.

The vac line that goes to the air pump is routed in the wiring harness to a vacuum canister in the passenger fender. That canister gets is's vacuum from the vac line on the back of the intake. This canister also provides the vacuum for the HVAC acuator system.

Can't answer your question as to wether or not this is a good source for a gauge signal since I don't run boost. Good luck.

Personally I would not use the sir pump for a vac source. The best place is at the brake booster. You can make a fitting with common pieces from a hardware store or auto store. All you need is a "tee" and a reducer. Head over to NAPA and they will help you out.
