Looking for a cure for a notchy 6 spd
I installed the B&M Ripper some time ago and I am glad. I am pleased with the reduced throw, however, the shifter feels a little "notchy". Has anyone experience such a feel? Would changing the fluid to synthetic make a difference?

Replace the transmission lube with Redline MTF. It will remove the notchyness. It is RED just like the Dexron ATF in your transmission from the factory, so visually it looks the same as the factory ATF.
