still having column lock problems

any responce will be heldful, ive got a 2000 model and ive had the column lock up on it 4 times. ive carried it to my chevy dealer where they have got me going each time. can someone tell me why this is a ongoing problem, and what should i do for this to stop.. thank you for any advice. j.a. layfield

Do a search and read the sticky for column lock. Solution to the problem is column lock bypass. Many buy from Corvettes of Houston.

but every now and then I still get the column lock problem. I turned off the anti theft with my efi live now. The message may still come on but the car will drive like normal

Then fill out your profile to make it easier for folks on the forum to help you (city-state, year, model, tranny). Why is this an ongoing problem?

Sorry, but this is probably the single most known issue with the C5. As indicated the sticky section has all the details. The short answer is get the CLB.
