Hi,
Anyone knows if or where I can get REAL rollbars for my C5 Convertible?
I hope to find something that look good, but they have to be real, not any "fakes" that is just fastened with two bolts, I hear they actualy can brake your neck instead of protect you.
I'd also like to know about these... or if any of the hardtops coming to market would be legitimate for use at a dragway or raceway where there is a requirement to have a rollcage or a hardtop.
I know Caravaggio has a hardtop coming, but will these prevent me from getting tossed at the 'strip for running too fast in a convertible?
Exotic Muscle (Phoenix or Tempe Az.) 5 point rollbar. I have it and it is well made and fits well. The 5th point from the top of the loop to the passenger side wheel well is removable. It is NOT NHRA legal.

Vert's take some special effort, but give Speedworks a call. There has been a lot of discussion on this particular subject for the vert's. I've seen their cages for mustang verts and everything works as advertised, and, is NHRA legal.
These (driver, passenger, rear) I snagged from a Forum post sometime last year but I don't recall whose car it is.
The thing I don't like about this bar is the apparent extreme forward seating position it requires. I need a little leg room ;)
Bill, last time I talked with the guys at Speedworks (end of August) they were kind of cool to the idea. I'm hoping to find time for another run at this project Real Soon Now. :yesnod:
I have not seen a non-custom NHRA compliant bar in a vert.
You may get by with a hardtop for non-competitive events where folks might not look too closely (particularly if you're running over 12 or so), but if you're running for purse you'll have to play by the rules.
