Default One more time for ABS dummy

I have done a search for the Service ABS/Service Traction control message. It seems they all talk about codes. I hooked up a code scanner to it and it came back saying there were no codes. Yet my dash shows the message. I'll check and clean the electrical connection but is there anything else I should be doing. I’m new to the Vette world but am fairly capable when doing repairs but electrical is not something I’m very good at. Any help & ideas are appreciated.

Cheapy OBD readers will NOT retrieve these codes-you need one that can access the ABS computer, not the engiine control computer or use the one built into the C% in the DIC. You can turn the key ON, hold the option button while hitting fuel 4 times, it will take you into on board diags,
