Thanks. This was very helpful. My 02 already has a hud but this really enabled me to get in there to remove and fix it.

It's July 2020 and the info is still excellent- Had to replace a pass actuator and used this as my guide. This was a perfect guide- Thank you AT88mph

I would assume that this would all be eaiser if the windshield was out. I am planning on replacing it so I might get them to pull the windshield out and do all the work them have it replaced. Thoughts?

i did mine it was really easy providing you have the right tools on hand, not sure windshield out would make it that much easier, also i replaced my windshield with the NON- HUD version it displays the same maybe just 10% lighter if anything
