PRT how do they sound
hello to every one does any one have the tri flow PRT system on there c5 i was wondering how loud are they do they bother you after awile when you are cruisin on the highway just want to know how they are in day to day life thanks =========johnny
they sound awesome, but it each person likes something different. They do have some resonance, IMO, but I think they sound the best. I also think the quad oval tips look the best. If you have the chance to hear the different exhausts, both inside & out, i would highly recommend it. My 98 M6 has quite a bit of resonance at 2500 rpm. I stay way below that cruising on the highway. If you have an A4, especially with gears, this may be a problem. If mine was a daily driver, I'd probably go with something middle of the road. God luck & have fun picking one out!
I have the speedway tips :D & will not trade them for anything else!, small amt. of resonance, but after being used to sidepipes on a 67 coupe, everything else is quite! :D
I have the PRT quad oval tip version and am very happy with them. I have taken several trips in the C5 and haven't been bothered at all. I do get slight resonance between 1000 and 1500 rpms, but its not bad at all. I don't have the pre-cats and do have long tube headers which may contribute.
