Glad to hear this is normal!

I bought a used, well modified C5Z and this concerned me a little. I just clutch in when I shut her off and problem solved.

Does the “normal” rattle ever happen when just sitting in neutral? If not, I have an actual problem lol

Clutch still engaged, everything still spinning except output of the tranny. No worries

might be the heat shielding on top of the cats if you have them still. Both of mine were completely detached and I had to drop the mid pipe to remove them

Corvette c5 clutch out when turning engine off

I just got an 1999 C5 with 23K miles a month ago, a week ago I noticed that some times the same noise that you are describing happens to my car, I thought that the issue was related to a damaged Clutch Actuator, I am happy to hear that this is normal in C5's so I am relived, I really did not want to take the clutch out to inspect, this post just saved me hours and hours of work for an unnecessary inspection, I just want to Thank you all of you.
