On my 2000 the lexan targa top on the passenger's side is looking like it is peeling off... leaving it dull and looks like hell!!!! anyone else deal with this? if so what can be done? anything simple?

They all do it sooner or later if they stay outside. I had mine painted body color on my 98 or you can have it redone at www.astrotops.com.
I have seen some post on here about rubbing it out so try a forum search.

It helps to apply diaelectric grease to the area. The Lexan top has a silicone coating which peals after long sun exposure.

Some people have had success sanding and re-clear coating it.

If you paint it a color, clean well and use an ahesion promoter.

Wet sand it. Polish with fine grit paste than finer grit McGuires has it.
Clean with Amonia and water.
Tape it off and clear coat it. Two coats is good. let it set a ouple of days.
Sand it gently with superfine sandpaper (wet) wipe it down. Polish with regular polish usong a side buffer. Take your time. I used McGuires.
Did two so war and they look great. Now that I've done theirs it's time to do mine.

I sanded & reclearcoated mine 2 yrs ago & it still looks like the day I did it. Also it now is a painted surface & can be treated just like the rest of your painted surfaces.
