Default Help needed with wiring scheme please ...

5 months ago my dream came true, i was FINALLY able to buy a 98 C5
It was a rebuilder though, meaning that it was in an accident and had some damage.
Since i'm a reasonable grease monkey and i have a friend that's a great painter i was able to rebuild this car to a MINT looking C5 which drives as straight as an arrow
It ofcourse isn't the ideal way to get your dreamcar but it was the only way for me to afford it and i'm happy with the result and performance.
There is however a problem that only occured every now and then in the beginning but now it's pretty frequent.
What happens is that i lose certain functions of the instrument cluster.
In the beginning the tacho was not functioning at times, but now the oil pressure and even the LCD screen refuse to work at times

Since i didn't buy this car at the dealership i get no cooperation from GM here in Holland.
I have NO access to wiring schemes and that sort of thing.
I replaced the cluster with one from a Vette club member for 2 days and the same problems occured, so it's not the cluster iself, the wiring or pulse/signal 'sources' are not working properly.

I recall i had a GM manual when i had my 95 Z28 that showed the function and description of every single colored wire of the complete car, also the ones going to the cluster.
I want to find out what every single wire does, where it gets it's signal from and how that signal/pulse is generated.
This way i'm pretty source i can hunt this electrical Gremlin and solve my problem.

Is there anybody who has such manuals, sheets, wiring schemes, documents, etc ??
I would be VERY gratefull and i'm willing to even pay a small amount of money for the time and trouble of (for instance) scanning the schemes, pages, etc.
I'm ordering a Helms manual once my CC is re-crdited after these holidays.
It now takes about 8 weeks (eversince the attack of the 11th) to get anything (by airmail !) here, so i'd appreciate some help in a meantime as i have NO resources at this time.

Thanks in advance and greetings from Amsterdam/Holland

The service manual section on instrument panel wiring is well over 100 pages long. It would take several hours to scan them. Try this link:

I tried it and found the wiring diagrams from the manual. If that doesn't work, try this: http://si2kam20:am201100@service.gm....lets/SMYearSel

Hi LRV
welcome to the forum. I got the ´98 manual and would like to send you some copies of the wiring scheme. Just send me a eMail with your FAX. Or come down to Stuttgart, it would be a pleasure for me to help you.

Thank you Frederik !
I'm currently studying the schemes that are supplied by the link above and it's pretty much what i needed, so that saves the faxing and losing some of your precious time.
I do appreciate the help and if i do need further help i would like to tak you up on that offer !

P.s. i was under the impression that i already posted a reply to thank for that link to ICE.GM and for the warm welcome !?!?? It seems lost ......
