New rotors
I just picked up a set of new drilled & slotted rotors from GMPartsHouse.
I assume it would be a good idea to take 'em to a brake place to have 'em spun and (only if necessary) turned before mounting (which I plan to do in my garage)?

Just use new pads and lightly sand those on a flat surface. You don't need to do anything to the rotors.
if you're going to use your old pads, be a little more aggressive about the sanding and make sure they're smoothed out.
