I talked to Hypertech about 3-4 weeks ago and asked them when their 2001 Corvette edition would be out. They told me that they're finishing off the programmers for trucks and then will get the 2001 Corvette model finished and on the street. They said it's a business prioritization. There's a lot more 2001 trucks than 2001 Corvettes out there. I have a Hypertech for my 2000 and am really pleased with it. There was the same delay for the 2000's.

Superchips is about 10 minutes from where I live, and they did a factory install on my Lightning truck. I purchased the ship from Mike Troyer, national distributor. I recently wrote him about a chip for my 01, and here is his answer:

Hi Sandy,

Great to hear from you again, & congratulations on your 2001 Corvette! I love Corvettes, I've had 13 of them over the years, including the very last Z07 ever made.

Yes, we can take care of your new Corvette with the Superchips Micro Tuner for the 2001 Corvette, which will add about 20 horsepower to the rear wheels, and all the normal benefits such as improved shifting in the automatics, removed delays, retards & transitional issues, etc. that affect even the Corvette's factory tuning.

The Superchips Micro Tuner is very easy to install, it's a handheld programmer that connects to the OBD-II port under the dash, and uploads the performance program in about 6 minutes or so, and you're all done, very simple!

Just give us a call when you get a chance at our number below, & we'll go over all the details with you. This unit is currently available, so we can have your 2001 Corvette running even better for you very shortly. :)

Thanks for touching base Sandy, I hope you & your family had a wonderful Christmas & we look forward to working with you again!

Been There ,Done that! Superchips does NOT have the 2001 Microtuner program finished yet. I had one installed in September.Didn't work. They reprogrammed...still did not work.Steve Medola(head programmer) tried again and it STILL didn't work. Nice people, they tried.Too bad.:nodnod:

Go with the Powerloader II at www.ttspowersystems.comor Ed Wrightat www.fastchips.com IMO:D :

Heard the same. I also begged them to do the 2002 at the same time; both are so similar to each other it probably won't take much extra time to include the 2002. I know I'll buy one for a 2002 Corvette as soon as they are available (unless a competitor beats them to it) :)
