2003 C5 MN6 - Cannot shift from 6th gear down to 5th! Please Help!
As the title states, I cannot shift from 6th to 5th!!
Tech heads pls help
No idea how long this has been like this.. I bought the car from a dealer months ago and literally took it out on the highway for the first time today. (purchased it in NYC, only took it out a few days around manhattan so I never noticed.... but I know, its no excuse and I'm kicking myself
)

What happens when you try to shift to 5th? Does it grind at all? Can you shift into fourth then up to fifth (all in one motion, just put the clutch in and go from 6th to 4th to 5th with the pedal down)???
Reason I ask is I had tranny problems a few years back with my 99 Trans Am. I suddenly couldn't shift from 6th to 5th or it would grind like no tomorrow, but if I went 6th to 4th then up to 5th it would go, initially. Then 5th went all the way out. Turned out that the synchros went.

But does it go 6th to fourth and the UP to 5th?
How hard have you tried to put it in 5th downshifting from 6th? My car actually resists pretty good, but if I put some extra force into it the shifter will slide into 5th.
