Default A/C Problems

I have a 98 Vette. The problem is the EXT air temp does not work properly. I have replaced the EXt air sensor, diconnected the battery both the negative and the positive sides. Still the EXt air temp is still malfunctioning. If anyone could please lend a hand and let me know if there is something else i can try to fix this problem.

Do you have any codes in the DIC?
Have you actually driven the car since you changed the sensor, or just "shop tested" it? You will need to drive the car a few minutes at at least 20mph for the new sensor to be picked up by the controller. Otherwise it just reads the last known temp in memory. Also you can pull fuse #27 in the pass footwell for at least 60 seconds and reinstall. That will make the HVAC controller reset/recalibrate.

DTC B0333 indicates the Outside Air Temperature Sensor is Open ...If you have any corrosion in any of the associated connectors it will increase the resistance that the climate controls is reading.
The resistance across the two sensor wires could be almost infinity,
in that case your display would read a low temp.
You may not have continuity with the recently installed sensor if your connection is faulty ..

I agree with trussme. The B0333 is an open circuit code. Meaning either the connector is not making contact, or you have another bad sensor. I would clean and double check the connector on the sensor first. Also check the wiring before you get to the sensor connector for a broken or chafed spot.
What does the temp display say?
It should default to 69* if you unplug the sensor.
