Default trouble lifting car

tried to put the car on the lift today....no such luck it seems the arms on the lift are too long...the guy at the shop said i could use the base of the arm to lift which seems legit...but i guess next time i need to bring a couple boards to drive on to get it high enough to do this....i dont know how you lowered guys do this ****...mines stock height with jacking pucks. Trying to figure this out...anybody got pics so in a couple weeks i can do my HC swap....ended up giving up and drove it on the drive on lift....cant do this for the HC swap since i need to remove the front wheels and steering
Pics would be great

I have a Mohawk lift and the arms are lower than most at 3 3/4" and I drive onto a 2X10 to get the added height to get the arms under it (I'm lowered on stock bolts). Also I don't use jacking pucks because I have the frame savers on my car and those allow me to use the arm body of the lift arms under the frame saver. If I used jacking pucks (thicker) it would be tight. I'm not sure what you would like pictures of, give me a specific shot you would like and I can get it tomorrow.

Hi Kurt -

When you use a jack to lift one point on the car, the whole car comes up enough to get the other three arms under the car.

Then, I just lower the car gently onto the other three arms, and then push down on the remaining lift arm and swing it into position.

It is just that simple.

I have lifted MANY lowered C5's and never have had to monkey around with driving up on boards etc.

best regards -

Btw, no problem jacking the car on a 4-poster and taking the wheels off. I use a jacking bridge on my lift and a motorcycle jack to raise either end to get the wheels off. I've also done heads/cam jobs on jackstands on the floor with no problem.

Best of luck with your project.
