When hooked up to the TECH2 in a C5 (2000) why does it need a special Kent Moore tool hooked up to the car in order to program it? And what exactly does this tool do? I had a look at one and its a **** with a couple flip switches. GM never makes things easy!
Re: Attn techs, about reprogramming C5 computer (GTP)
Correct,it is not absolutely required...Maintaining proper voltage is important.I always let the vehichle run 5-10 minutes prior to assure of a fully charged battery...Turn off the radio, twilight, climate control, etc, when programming :yesnod:
Re: Attn techs, about reprogramming C5 computer ('98 Six Speed)
Its in and MMS was just waiting on stock calibration to be flashed back into the PCM (hence the thread) and an exhaust. I came up Friday with an exhaust/TECH2 and ran into the problem flashing the car. The exhaust is on as far as I know and they are going to drive the car up to a friend locally at a dealer to return code to stock and then tune it that day. (Wednesday) Its now looking like Thurseday I will pick it up......unless another wrench is thrown into the plans.
