I'm wondering if the stock LS6 oil pump is better than the stock 2000 LS1 oil pump.
I remember hearing there where some problems with the 99-00 LS1 oil pumps and would like to know if a new LS6 pump would be a good replacment during a cam swap
Thanks,
Chad

Reason: more info
Stock LS6 pump is a fine replacement pump, its best to increase the oil pressure while you're at it. That can be done by shimming the spring in the LS6 pump or buying a ported/shimmed pump from a supplier.
