Default Replacing control arms

I was looking at the possibility of replacing my control arms on my C5Z06. The bushings appear to be completely shot, especially on the fronts. I went to the gmpartsdirect catalog and it is a little confusing. They have the Front Lower Control arm in there twice and one of the instances has the "lower ball joint" in there but no price. So, is it that you buy the lower control arm and the upper control arm parts and the lower one comes with the ball joint already in? That would be fine by me as there would be no need to press in the old ball joint.

Thanks for any help.

you can talk to a real person that knows his vette parts

www.gmpartshouse.com

lwr c.arm has the lower bjt
spindle or knuckle has the upper bjt

GM does not sell the bjt's seperate, they DO press out, but I have never installed an aftermarket bjt and tested it

Thanks Steve. The ball joints are fine as far as I can tell. The bushings are hosed though. I'd put aftermarket bushings in, but I autocross in SCCA SS class and I have to have OEM bushings. So, basically I have to replace the whole control arm. So, it sounds like if I buy the upper control arm lower control arm and it comes with the lower ball joint and keep the old knuckle, I should be fine.

Default Control Arm Part Numbers

Are these the right part numbers?

10233620-Rear Upper Left
10233621-Rear Upper Right

10233635 -Rear Lower Left
10233636-Rear Lower Right

10326693-Front Lower Left
10326694-Front Lower Right

10356436-Front Upper Left
10356438-Front Upper Right

Now as far as installation, how do I handle the springs since I am removing the control arms to replace the new ones? Any suggestions?

Thanks for any help.

I gave the contact info for the parts

I misread your post, just swap the arms, it's easy, the front spring pushes down on the arm, the rear pulls

use a 6mm allen on the internal wrenching bjoint w/ a 21mm wrench, very basic swap, just not the alignment settings/cam position for the install
