If you replace the two rear sensor batteries and reinstall the sensors do you have to reprogram them if they are returned to same location (wheel)? Do you have to reprogram all wheels ? Can you just do the ones replaced or just return to same spot and let it roll. Appreciate any feedback and comments on this procedure. Thanks very much!

Since the batteries were obviously removed to be replaced with fresh, then I would think they will have to be re-programmed again. Re-programming is a very simple procedure and as far as I know, you have to follow the sequence that comes up in the DIC when doing so. It's something that takes less than 5 minutes.

As long as you return them to the same location I don't see why you would need to reprogram the car. The programming process just identifies to the car where each transmitter is located. The BCM runs a program that stops at specific spots and tells the operator to turn on the pressure sensor located at a specific location. The operator uses a magnet to throw a switch on the pressure sensor that applies battery power to the sensor's electronics and transmitter. The BCM then stores the pressure sensor identification code so it knows where the sensor is located.

Good advice Bill. I was just a bit uncertain if the individual sensor maybe did some sort of "reset" when it's power was removed, but since it transmits on a fixed (non code-hopping) frequency you may be right.
