Default update RFA to later version w/o changing other modules?

I've got a bad RFA in my '99 C5. Realizing the tire sensors are next to go I'm thinking about just getting a later, post 2001, set of sensors, new key fobs and a new RFA to match. Can I do this without changing other components, especially other (expensive) modules??

As far as I know, that's all you need.

I am in the same boat except my tps are going bad its over 400 bucks to replace them, looking to change over to the 2001 & up I have read post that you can swap with no problem, but some say you have to change the wireing harness sure would like to know.

Try a search on this. This matter was discussed a lot in a thread recently. Seems as though there is someone on E-Bay selling the needed conversion items as a "kit", although I'm sure that with the help of either of our two forum GM vendors, you could buy these items through them as well. My recollection of these discussions is that there was NOT any requirement for wiring changes, etc. You just install the parts. Seems like these pieces were something that was offered on the export cars, but work on ours as well.
