My car is a little older then yours but should be the same thing. Mine go through the valve stem hole and are actually part of the valve stem assembly. If you are replacing them, you will have to break the bead of the tire. Then unscrew the nut on the valve stem. Should come out from the inside of the tire. Make sure you replace the little o-ring. Just to make sure it won't leak on you. I don't have any pics for you, sorry.

This is actually a 1997-2000 sensor in a C6 wheel.
