hi every one i have a 01 zo6 with vortech supercharger with atleast 470 wheel hp but i have some check engine light with codes 10pcm0332HC and A6-SCM U1016H and BO RFA U1000H U1064 U1096 what does this mean, can anyone help me who to go to and have this fix?
The only code that is significant is the P0332. It is for a knock sensor 2 error. The knock sensors (there are 2) are under the intake manifold and valley cover. The code is for the rear one.
OK I'll ask what does washing the engine do to cause this issue? An honest ? not trying to be an ***
The knock sensor is under the intake manifold. Water collects there and will corrode the sensor and the connection. Since the only way to get to the sensor is to pull the intake manifold off, your best bet is to NEVER wash your engine with a hose. Use some mild cleaner in a spray bottle and wipe it off with a cloth.
benjavep: Try clearing the code and crossing your fingers. If that doesn't work, you'll have to pull the manifold to swap the bad sensor, and clean the connector.
There seems to be other things that set this code. I have not washed my engine in months and have replaced both sensors 3 times and the harness once. I still get this stupid code rain or shine. There seems to be something that sets it off after the engine has been under load and then backed off. If I accelerate fairly hard to match the flow of traffic on the highway and then let off the gas to cruise the code will be set. Doesn't happen every time either. His may be having the same problem as I am having and I have not been able to fix it for over a year. Even had the dealer try to reprogram the computer with the software updates that is supposed to fix the problem.
