Does anyone know if there is a way to display this readout of the temps etc. while in the competive mode other than it saying Competive mode?

I like to know the fluid temps while I am on the track and it is pain to keep switching in and out of comp mode to read them.

Also, I read somewhere there is a way to program the car so that it starts up in the competive mode.

Thanks, Don

Press the RESET key until the DIC has returned to "normal" operation. Each press of RESET eliminates a "message".

RTFM

Yes, the RESET button just eliminates the message from the DIC, does not take it out of competitive mode.

Also, you would need a "LAPTRAX" controller to program it so the car starts in competitive mode. A few folks have mentioned that the company is no longer producing those. But you can sometimes find them in the "parts for sale" section. There were two different types (a standard model and the delux model). The delux would automatically clear out the DIC message for you after putting it into competitive mode (it will actually allow you to set your car up where it will go to competitive mode, traction control/active handling all off, or TC/AH all on).

I'v egot the standard mode on mine and it works great. Car automatically goes to Competitive mode soon after I start the car.

The LAPTRAX guys went out of business several years ago. At their initial retail price for the controller (I forget exactly) of about $300.00 ...... not many people would spend that when all it did was eliminate pushing a button for a few seconds ....
