So you put a round peg in a square hole...purposely....
It wasn't a square hole when I was done with it! I used a 1/4" carbide bit on my angled die grinder, set the rpm low and radiused the square to round. The keyways are broached 3/16" and the pins are 1/4" I was careful to watch the sides round out then the bit touched the bottom of the keyway. I knew I only had to go into the base of the groove 1/16" and by the time I did, the key groove was round. For the OP, if you're unsure about doing this, just pin it on the other side 180° out and don't listen to the noise about balance. You're not talking about some significant weight hanging off a 12" radius spinning at 10krpm, you're talking about removing a few grams of metal and replacing it with a few grams of metal like someone else mentioned before.
A & A is in my future so I am doing it while it is apart
You won't regret it! Andy's a great guy with a fantastic product! Read my signature and you'll see that I'm finishing building a reasonably high hp car with his Ysi kit.
