Hi to all! I have a problem to which I have no clue what's going on. I was driving out today and my clutch stopped working all of a sudden. I could still feel pressure on the clutch pedal but it wasn't actually engaging. I had to drive the car back home in 5th gear most of the way (last couple of miles was actually in 1st since I had to turn it off at a light and restart it in 1st). If I press the pedal to the very bottom it engages slightly. I really have no clue what could've happen. It seemed to work fine when I left my house. If anyone of you more experienced Vette owners could chime in with what do you think happen I's appreciate it. Thanks in advance for your help.

Your clutch is "engaged" if you are driving the car, it is "dis-engaged" if the car feels like it is in neutral even when in gear.
Check the clutch master cylinder reservoir and make sure you have fluid to the correct level in the reservoir.
If the fluid level is OK, the problem is in either your master or slave cylinder. One or the other has a seal that has failed on its piston. I'd rebuild the master cylinder in the hope that that is the problem. It is relatively easy to get to, and the parts for a rebuild are cheap. If that doesn't fix it you are looking at dropping the drivetrain out of the vehicle to service the slave. You mind as well put in a new clutch assembly and install a remote bleeder while you are in there.

oh!! thanks for correcting my mistake!! I guess my translation from spanish was not as accurate as I thought.
One question though. The pedal felt like it feels normally at its normal hieght, so it didn't seem to me to be a hydraulic issue although I'm pretty ignorant in how the clutch system on these cars work. So can you or anyone enlighten me in this matter??
