100,000 mile tune up
The baiscs such as plugs, wires, filters, all fluids such as oil, trans, rear, check and grease all applicable areas, front end alignment along with tire balance.
I did have a question concerning plug wires that someone will surely answer... What is the difference between 7, 7.5, 8, 8.5, 9, 10 mm wires? I know in the old days everyone always said bigger is better, but I would find that hard to believe with the advances in technology so help explain this to some of us.
Thanks guys

1. Oil according to the Oil Life Monitor, minimum of once per year.
2. Tranny and Diff, I like to do them every 35-50K miles.
3. Coolant, every three years
4. Brake Fluid, every 2 years. This one is ignored the most by far. Brake fluid absorbs water vapor, and since the master cylinder is vented, the fluid becomes saturated and migrates through the system.
As far as plugs/wires go, the C5 isn't too hard, so if you want, go ahead and change them. However, I don't change mine until I start feeling a misfire off idle (to keep from misinterpreting the LS-1/6 "lope" as a misfire). I *did* change mine at 100K, but it made no difference, and only 3 out of the 16 platinum "pucks" were missing.
I wouldn't change the OE wires unless they're damaged.
Alignment is another thing that probably needs to be done every 2-3 years or so. Problem is finding a competent shop to do the alignment. I tried many shops before I finally found a tech that was serious about his work.
HTH, and have a good one,
Mike
