An earlier post in the "for sale" section indicated that it has been done.
The instrument cluster had to be replaced with a unit from a 99+ ,
also the image was not that good until the windshield was replaced with the proper type.Seller made it sound like it was a "plug and play" setup , as long as money was not the issue, might as well go with the Z06 gauges. Hope You can verify this story as I would like the upgrade. :seeya

I too have heard that it can be done you just need the HUD IPC (instrument panel cluster), the HUD dash, and optionally the HUD windshield.

I don't know about the cost for the dash, controls and projector parts, but I did havea HUD windshield replaced because of a rock chip on my 2000 C5. The original estimate was $2500.00 installed which was dropped to $2000.00 after they negotiated with my insurance company. If you think that's heavy, my dealer told me they had submitted a claim themselves for a broken rear window on a C5 coupe that was delivered to them...$3800.00!
