Why not just swap out the throttle body? Jegs and summit have EFI fittings that adapt OEM hardline (quick disconnect) to AN

Converting to drive by wire is "possible" ... but not easy.

You'd have to install an accelerator pedal assembly that has the Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) sensors.

You'd need to have the wiring from the APP to the TAC (Throttle Actuator Controller)

You'd need to add a TAC

You'd need to have a new PCM compatible with the TAC (and deal with whatever issues a different PCM brings to the table)

You'd need the wiring from the TAC to the Throttle Body

You'd need a drive by wire Throttle Body .... (which it sounds like you have)

Other than that ... snap your fingers and you are done baby ....

You doing this on an F-Body or a hotrod ????

You can buy the parts, but in the end, purchasing the whole assembly will probably be cheaper.

I think I finally understand your question ....

The throttle body you want to convert is currently a cable driven TB.

You want to make it a "drive by wire" TB

....... Notgonnahappen.com (thank you www.autoextremist.com) ....

You'd have to add the motor that drives the throttle plate and the sensors that track the actual angle of the throttle plate .... not worth it.

Just take your existing throttle body and put it on your new intake.

The electronic (fly by wire) throttle is better than a cable driven throttle. An example .... you lift your foot from the throttle in either system ... and with a cable system if the return spring has broken .... your screwed. With the fly by wire system the engine computer (the PCM) will immediately command the fuel injectors to lower fuel delivery if there is any problem with the throttle system ....

I'd take the electronic throttle over a cable throttle any day.

Of course, you've just bought a sheetmetal intake, i'm guessing the TB on it is a bit larger than the TB you're running now.. sorry, you're going to have to get a new one.. you can't take a cable driven and convert it to an electronic driven TB... You can probably sell the cable one to the Fbody boys and not have to spend much to get hte new one, though...
