Like some of the other C5 owners, the front tires are wearing out on the inside, the left more than the right. The car has been lowered on the stock bolts and was aligned by a dealer after it was lowered. Are the alignment specs different for a lowered C5? I am wondering whether the factory height alignment specs are correct for a lowered
C5.
Not sure how much lowering affects the alignment, but you need to tell the shop doing the alignment exactly what specs you want.
Even at the stock height, you can be "within factory specs." and still have enough negative camber to cause significant inside tire wear.
Find out what the settings are, and then go from there. If you just drive on the street, you do not need more than -1/8 deg neg. camber, and close to zero toe-in.
I would bring it back to the shop and have them recheck it. I have had bad luck with shops doing alignments. Alignment shop machines get out of alignment. Some techs don't know what they are doing or care about their job. And simple tech errors. If they don't attach the mirrors securely they can get erronious readings.
